| Miyachi Unitek has a standardized large-scale weld head product line that meets a variety of welding needs. Force ranges are from 63 to 1570 lbs. The largest weld head is capable of handling up to 40,000 Amps of welding current. All heads are readily adaptable to automated lines. The smaller weld heads are bench-top versions. Larger heads may be ordered as bench-top or pedestal mounted.
All weld heads utilize industry-proven pneumatics to provide years of trouble-free service. Secondary’s use minimal mass to achieve fast follow-up. Robust frames, linear bearings and anti-rotation devices assure that welding electrodes do not deflect during the welding process. All heads have water-cooled secondary’s.
Welding system packages are available that include weld heads, welding transformers and weld controls. Systems include “plug and play” packages for simple connectivity. Components are matched for best possible efficiency.
To minimize the variables in a spot welding process, the following accessories can be added to the product line:
Electronic Pressure Regulators, (more commonly known as proportional valves): This device takes the place of the mechanical pressure regulator on the weld head. Used in conjunction with a Miyachi Unitek AC or Inverter welding controls, weld head force can be programmed for every schedule.
Load Cells: This applies to the low force weld head. A load cell is integrated into the head so actual head force during a process can be monitored.
If the standardized product lines do not meet your needs, Miyachi Unitek works closely with machine builders that offer weld heads with higher forces and greater secondary current capability. If you don’t see what you need, please contact us.
